Curlies are two horses in one.

In summer some Curlies are smooth coated the same as any other horse breed.

Other Curlies have a velvet-like patterned coat.

Still others have a deeply waved coat that gives the horse a rippled appearance.

The manes and tails stay curly both in summer and winter.
