This rocket is the same booster and body assembly as the rocket that took these photos.  However the payload assembly has been removed.

This rocket flew with a standard Hypertek motor.  I left the nosecone behind and had to make one out of cardboard, bubble-wrap, and tape.  Worked great for a perfect flight.

Woomera - Eclipse Preparation on Pad 1.JPG (67398 bytes) Here is the same rocket and payload at Woomera in January 1998.  The only difference is the fin assembly has been replaced.

wpe4.jpg (32422 bytes) Ejection charges have fired. The booster section is separating just as the rocket is arcing over. The parachute bungee can be seen.

Altitude at this point is approximately 1,600 feet.
