Hempels Aviation is a unique aviation service based at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane Australia. Founded in 1978 by Barry Hempel after many years in the Airline Industry, Hempels offer air charter services Worldwide with an established reputation for outstanding service and safety with both Australian and International customers. Hempels have operated accident-free for 27 years and Barry has personally flown in excess of 29,000 hours in a wide range of aircraft as diverse as WW1 Biplanes to modern Jet Fighters and Heavy Jet Airliners around the world. Hempels currently operate 25 aircraft in their fleet including Vintage Tiger Moths up to large Executive Twin Engine aircraft. Our latest fleet additions include two immaculate Russian Military Trainers - the highly aerobatic YAK-52s.

We specialise in Air Charter, Flying Training, Joy and Adventure Flights, Aerial Advertising, Search and Rescue, Aircraft Crewing and more. Hempels are a professional general aviation operator with a long term commitment to the industry, operating under the Air Operators Certificate issued by C.A.S.A. with the appropriate licencing, approvals and insurances. Barry continues to be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, co-ordinating our efficient and professional crews of highly experienced multi-engine pilots. Hempels have built an enviable corporate customer base including Channel Seven, Channel Ten, QANTAS, The Jetcraft Group, Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Queensland Government Airwing and Ministerial Transport, Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries, Queensland Fire Service and many more.
