Crusader Player Tony Harris Injuryed

In a freak event Crusader Tony Harris lost part of his finger during a tackle. Tony has informed us that he is doing well "I have lost about 1cm off the end of my little finger. The original plan was to re-attach, but after discussions with the plastic surgeon i told him he could keep it and just seal up the end. All toll, the finger will be healed in about 3 weeks."
We wish Tony a speedy recovery and look forward to him being back out on the field.

Crusader Players make it big.

Peter Steve and Glenn Parke have been selected to be a part of the Quad City Steamwheelers in the Arena Football 2 league and are the two-time winning Champions of the AF2.

Both Peter and Glenn were a part of the Pacific Rim Training Camp held in Sydney in September, and were spotted by the Steamwheelers Head Coach, Rich Ingold during the camp. They participated in try-outs in Quad City and were fortunate to be selected as part of the International player roster for the team.

Chairman of Gridiron Australia Michael Ryan said, 'This is exciting news, and follows on Mike Harvey's earlier trial with the Hawaiian Islanders and it is a first for the sport not only here in Australia, but Arena Football, as they are the FIRST two Australians officially to sign with Arena Football.' He added, 'No doubt you will join me in wishing them both great success in their endeavours with Arena Football'

If you want to find out more on their inclusion in the AF2, go to the Steamwheelers website here. www.steamwheelers.com
