BRONWYN
HODGKINS - Multi- Instrumentalist, has been a mainstay of the
Qld Folk scene in her capacity as Folk Club Performer, Festival
Co-ordinator and Australian Bush Dance Caller at local Clubs,
Schools and Festivals. Including Flute, Irish Whistles and Melodica
in her extensive repertoire of instruments, Bronwyn lends extra
colour with her superb vocal harmony and impressive array of
percussion instruments such as Tamborine, Bodhran (Irish Drum),
Aboriginal Tapstix, Lagerphone, Cabassa, Chimes and Maracas.
Founding member of Mangrove Jack, Bronwyn's distinctive style has
come to shape the unique sound that is Mangrove Jack. |

KIRK
STEEL - has been a professional musician since he first appeared
on National Television at the age of 13. He has toured and recorded
with many world class artists, including the Slim Dusty Band, Graeme
Connors and Broderick Smith while featuring on their albums playing
Piano, Synthesisers and Piano Accordion. Living in the North Qld
area for 5 years now, Kirk performs regularly at the Sheraton
Mirage, The Cairns International, Etc, and is also employed on
tourist cruises as an entertainer. Kirk's unique style and passion
for his music complement the passionate songs that make Mangrove
Jack such a vibrant act. |

GAIL
BETTS - has been a professional Musician/ Entertainer for the
past 10 years. After gaining a wealth of experience on the road, she
then moved to the Northern Territory for a season at the Mataranka
Homestead Tourist Resort. Four years later she moved to the Cairns,
North Qld area and has worked regularly at Resorts and venues
throughout. Gail has also organised the entertainment at three major
North Qld Festivals and has acted as Stage Director at The Laura
Dance Festival for 3 years. She also appears on Gudgu Gudgu's CD -
Shores Of Eden. In 1995 she joined Mangrove Jack, Cairns' best known
band, and has enjoyed continued success with this dynamic line up. |

MICK
HODGKINS' - songs paint pictures of all that is Australian. Best
known for his in-depth interpretation of real Australian life, from
the urban sprawl to every Outback pub. The passion of Mick's love of
his country shines through. Contemporary songwriting at it's best.
He has utilised his talents as an accomplished Singer/ Guitarist to
give voice to these award winning songs. His distinctive voice - the
perfect vehicle. Old George - a song of Nth Qld Mining Town
'Irvinebank', has featured on the Irish band, 'The Fureys', album
'Winds Of Change'. Contemporary songwriting at it's best. |
