I open the door and walk in the room,
entranced by the smell of your sweet perfume.
Darkness surrounds me with no visual clue,
The faint sound of breathing guides me to you.
Sleeping so calmly, your outline I see,
Thanking the heavens they brought you to me.
Looking in awe of my goddess asleep,
Removing my clothing as gently I creep.
I climb into bed so quiet and swift,
Hoping your peace I do no shift.
Edging closer to you in this bed,
I whisper sweet-dreams and kiss your forehead.
Around my waist you settle your arm,
Bringing me feelings of love and calm.
No matter the madness of the world outside,
for peace love and happiness, you are my guide.
