Who are Randy and Jody?

Randy is an American computer programmer from Seattle, Washington State. Randy graduated from Washington State University in 1992 and has worked for various small and large companies in the United States and Australia since then. Randy has travelled extensively through Western Canada and the Western American states, and has also visited Mexico and Central America. Randy's mum is Costa Rican, so Randy made several trips to Costa Rica in his youth. Currently Randy is doing graduate study at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, although he has taken a year leave to bicycle around Australia for his honeymoon.

Randy and Jody met on Vancouver Island (Canada), while Randy was on a short bicycle tour through Washington State's San Juan Islands and Canada's Gulf Islands with his brother, Bernie. Jody was backpacking up the island to do some walking around Tofino when they met at a youth hostel, although it was several months later that a relationship developed. As a couple, Randy and Jody continue to share great adventures, mostly in the form of bicycle trips. Together they have bicycled across Canada and America, around the Hawaiian Islands, along Australia's Great Ocean Road, around Tasmania, and over Australia's Great Dividing Range. Randy and Jody also enjoy walking and skiing, and have done short walking trips through America's Yellowstone National Park and down Washington State's rugged Pacific Coast.
