Below is a picture of my dog, Taff. Taff is a cross between a Blue Heeler and a Kelpie, for those of you that don't know they are both Australian breeds of herding dog. A Blue or Red heeler is generally used for herding cattle, they are tough stocky dogs and are very loyal and protective. The Kelpie is used for herding sheep. Again a Kelpie is very loyal but it is a much slighter dog than the Heeler. Kelpies are very fast dogs but are not as tough as the Heeler. I believe both these breeds of dog have Dingo in them. Taff has the temperament of a Kelpie, he is a very affectionate dog and also very loyal. I think Taff looks more like a Heeler than a Kelpie especially in the face. A lot of people tell me that Taff looks like a Border Collie and therefore must be a Collie cross. What would they know, he is my dog!
