MAYOR THORLEY ADMITS E- TEAM PAY RISE DONE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

Toowoomba Chronicle Saturday June 3rd page 7.

Increases of as much as 69.44% relating to CEO Duties and also 37.55% pay rises to Director's were initiated behinds closed doors.

Why weren't the public ie the ratepayers/residents of Toowoomba City informed about excessive pay increases that are funded by ratepayers funds.

Total increases come to $232,600.00 per year.

Which costs over 4 Years $930,400.00 almost $1 million dollars just in salary increases alone this figure does not include the rest of their salary's and we are only talking about six (6) persons increases.

Now if one adds on Councillors pay increases only of the following amounts :-

Mayor increase of$11,500.00 per year
Deputy Mayor increase of$4016.00 per year
Councillor Sheldon increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Alroe increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Parke increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Englart increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Hinchcliffe increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Albion increase of$8225.00 per year
Councillor Ramia increase of$8225.00 per year
Their Total comes to$73,091.00 per year
Over 4 years equals$292,364.00 this is only the salary increase

Please Note Notone single Councillor has publicly stated that they will not take the money.
Now lets add the two increases together that is the E-Team increase of 6 persons and the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and seven Councillors increases and see the result.

Each Year E-Team $232,600.00 (remember increase part only)
Over 4 Years E-Team $930,400.00 (remember increase part only)
Councillor's All 1 year $73,091.00 (remember increase part only)
Councillor's All 4 years $292,364.00 (remember increase part only)

So $232,600.00 plus $930,400.00 TOTAL $1163000.00 or 1.16 million dollars of ratepayers funds just in the salary increase's alone benefiting a total of only 15 persons directly.

This is now the second time pay increases have been done behind closed doors without any public knowledge of the results that were agreed to.
