Welcome to my audio website. Here you will find illustrations and descriptions of some of the audio equipment I built from 1999-2003, during which time my focus was DIY valve amplification. This interest led me to build several valve audio kits, and eventually culminated in my constructing from scratch the Grounded Grid preamp and 25W "T8" OTL valve power amps from the schematics in Bruce Rozenblit's book, Audio Reality.

Whilst I still consider these to be amongst the best amplification devices I've heard my interests have changed in the last couple of years. I fell in love with the sound of Sonus Faber speakers but unfortunately they require a high current solid state amp in order to work at their best and do not team well with the OTL amps.

Consequently my valve amps are currently semi-retired and this site is no longer being updated. I only maintain it now for the benefit of anyone who wants to copy my ideas - help yourself. There are descriptions of projects including preamps, passive linestages, power amps and interconnects, but please note that the the information related to the Rozenblit preamp and amps, and to the Bottlehead preamp, does not include component values. If you are interested in these projects you will need to purchase the kits or schematics and construction notes from the publishers. Please do not write to me asking me for these details as it is an infringement of the owner's copyright for me to provide this information.

I hope the information is of use to you, but
PLEASE NOTE
