April is usually when the wet season starts to run down., however Veronica saw in the paper that they were expecting the wet to last possibly as long as June (normally the middle of the dry). Once again our blue clam shell is full of green tree frog tadpoles. Some have started to leave home already and we have taken some of the taddies down to the paperbark swamp. Veronica seems to be working more and is thinking about going permanent part time rather than casual. She is teaching powerbar and aquarobics about 3 times a week. My work seems to be getting busier also and I am still enjoying it. I am sill doing karate and kick boxing (one night a week each), plus running 3 to 4 times week. At Christmas I visited my Mum in Adelaide and then joined the girls in Perth where we had a week with Veronica's parents, as well as Christmas Day. We then spent about 2 1/2 weeks travelling around southern WA staying at cottages and farm stays. A great time was had by all. It is also where we picked up Bruno our latest cat. We were walking in the bush near Nannup when this 8 week old kitten came wandering bout of the bush. We reckon he was an unwanted Christmas present and had been dumped. When I flew home he came with me and the girls joined us a couple of days later. We have been lucky so far and have not had any cane toads at our, although it is just a matter of time.
I have left the Wave file below so you can hear the noise our frogs make in the wet season.
