Anti-Static Goot Temperature Controlled Soldering Station w/- Digital Display

We have now secured GOOT's state-of-the-art soldering station.  The RX-711AS soldering station is a precision, Japanese manufactured  instrument with excellent temperature stability and anti-static characteristics.

The light weight soldering pencil has a grounded tip and incorporates a ceramic heater with an integral temperature sensor. The sensor provides precise tip-temperature information to the heater controller which maintains the selected heat setting with a high degree of accuracy.  Temperature stability is further enhanced by designing the heater to actually fit within a matching recess in the tip.  This allows faster heat transfer and therefore better tip-temperature recovery during heavy soldering.  The soldering pencil is fitted with a silicon rubber grip for added handling precision and a 1.1 metre long silicone sheathed cord attaches to the console controller via a 5 pin DIN connector.  The silicone cord is incredibly supple.

The controller is a deceptively simple yet sophisticated unit.  The control panel includes the digital temperature display panel, a rotary temperature control, calibration control and a display changeover switch to display either the desired or actual tip temperature.  The panel is secured behind a darkened see-through cover which prevents accidental temperature changes but can be easily accessed when required.

Soldering pencils were previously only available with the higher end soldering stations and, if you've had the pleasure of soldering with a soldering station, you will know how much easier the job can be. Goot brand pencils are made in Japan and plug directly into the mains - they are not reliant on a dedicated station. These soldering pencils are a dream to work with. They feature a comfortable non-slip rubber finger grip and, as one would expect with a lightweight soldering pencil, are balanced perfectly when held. The mains power lead features a highly flexible silicone rubber sheaf that eliminates the restrictive nature of plastic-sheaf-insulation used with standard soldering irons. The Goot soldering pencil is supplied with a fine 0.2mm tip suitable for SMD or light PCB work and includes a two-metre long mains cord. Tip Temperature is set at 450 oC
