A view of an Alpaca's parentage can provide an insight into an Alpaca's genetic characteristics that may be passed onto future generations. The Alpaca Breeders Toolkit can assist in providing that insight by rapidly collating parentage data and presenting it to you in an easy to read format on your home PC. Currently 5 generations are displayed.
The background displayed is:
-Parentage
-Colour Background
-'Type' (Huacaya or Suri)
-Fleece data
Also, the Alpaca Breeders Toolkit can display the registered progeny of the Alpaca. This will give an indication on what genetics are being passed on to the progeny.
The details displayed for the Dam are:
-Colour of the offspring
-Sex of the offspring
-'Type' of offspring
-Fleece Data (when provided by the owner)
-Owner of progeny
The details displayed for the Sire's are:
-Names of Dam and offspring
-Colour of Dam and offspring
-"Type" of Dam and offspring
-Fleece Data (when provided by the owner)
-Number and colour of progeny for each different colour Dam mated too.
-Owner of progeny
The Toolkit also allows you to build a "what if" family tree. What if this Dam was mated to this Sire than what would the progeny family tree look like.
The Alpaca Breeders Toolkit allows you to quickly find the animals that you are interested in, displays for you historic details and then provides you with Alpacas owner contact details to further your research. One should look to spend Stud Fees wisely. 11 months is a LONG wait.
The Toolkit again provides the background of the animal via the Family Tree. From the Tree, each of the parentage line can be investigated.
- Who are the registered progeny on the ground and who are the sires of the progeny?
- Who owns the progeny to further your research?
- Who are the Certified Males (by colour)
- Who are the progeny from the stud line your looking for?
- Who are the registered progeny of this Sire for review?
- What are the colours when mated to particular colours of Dams as registered in the database?
The Alpaca Breeders Toolkit will allow you to demonstrate the value of your Sire by showing all the registered progeny.
You can show:
o All the registered progeny and their details
o The colours produced by the Sire with particular coloured Dams
o Fleece data (where provided)
The Toolkit is designed to have a user friendly interface. It is only a matter of pointing the mouse on the function button and then entering a name or IAR No.
The main screen on the Toolkit shows all the function buttons. Click MAIN SCREEN link and when you are at the main screen click each of the buttons to view sample pages.
