The Beechcraft 18 was the second aircraft to be produced by the new Beechcraft Company
and first flew in 1935. With its two 450 hp Pratt and Whitney radial engines it cruised
in excess of 200 mph with eight passengers and a full load of fuel and baggage.
Known as the twin beech it became the work horse of American aviation and was used extensively
thought the world. Even today there are many twin Beech's earning a living because of its
sturdiness and reliability.

and is used for evening dinner flights. These flights start with light refreshments in the
waiting room of Antique Airways and from there you board this classic twin engine aircraft
and fly around the back of Brisbane to Byron Bay and then coastal back to Redcliffe.
The view of Brisbane and Coolangatta at night is like fairy land and flights are only
conducted on clear nights with no cloud to spoil the view.
