Favourite VHF+ band 2m, but do enjoy 6m DX
Favourite VHF+ mode SSB & FM
Favourite VHF+ propagation mode Ducting & Sporadic E
I got started in radio when I was about 10 years old with crystal sets
What I like most about VHF+ DX is The unpredictability
Toughest thing about VHF+ DX is  You must put in many hours of listening
The best set up I have had for VHF+ DX is My present set-up. 6m – IC 551D, 5 element. 2m – IC821H, several Philips PRM8030’s, Tokyo HL-120v Amp, 10 element horizontal, 8 element vertical, Ringo vertical. 70cm – IC821H, several Philips FM92’s, 18 element horizontal, 12 element vertical
Favourite station to contact VK2KRR
Most memorable contact and why My 1st contact on 28/7/61 with Les VK5AX on 288Mhz. Les was my mentor who put endless hours in teaching and assisting me as a youth to obtain my license.
Most memorable propagation opening or condition and why Boxing Day 2003 with ducting on 2m east & west from my QTH. To the west I contacted several Perth stations via 6RMS repeater as well as Leigh 2KRR  via 6RMS (about 5000 Km round trip). To the east many Victorian repeaters were workable and I made contacts via the Mt Ginini 1RGI repeater
People most admired in AR Those who put effort back into administration of AR via the WIA.

What really annoys you Anyone who thinks they have done it all
I wish I could stop BPL
Biggest regret Never been active on 6m during a sunspot cycle peak
I hope I never have to Give up AR
Smartest thing I've ever done Retiring and getting back into amateur radio
Dumbest thing I've ever done Giving up amateur radio in the 1970’s
Best advice I've ever had Don’t be afraid to call, we can’t all be listening
Advice to new VHF+ DX'ers Put your effort into antennas
Future VHF DX goals Work ZL on 2m
