WSJT is the name of a computer program.  It stands for “Weak Signal communication, by K1JT.”  The program is designed to facilitate meteor-scatter, moonbounce, and other difficult and extreme weak signal communication tasks on the amateur radio VHF/UHF bands.  It is freely available to radio amateurs for non-commercial purposes.

To use the program you will need a computer equipped with a sound card and running the Microsoft Windows© operating system.

The latest update WSJT Version

WSJT can help you with the following tasks, mainly on 144 MHz, but also has uses on 50 MHz and 432 Mhz and beyond.

    - Meteor Scatter contacts up to around 2300 km

    - Earth Moon Earth (EME) contacts of path lengths around 800,000 km +-

    - EME Echo - checking your stations EME ability

    - Very weak Tropospheric contacts of up to 4000 km and beyond depending upon the path

Using the WSJT Tropo and EME modes, signals can be copied that are even weaker than the weakest CW. You will be amazed to see a contact appear before your eyes when you're listening to what appears to be just noise.
