When the last big Queensland drought broke, drover Greg Austen looked like going broke as well.
So Greg turned his hand to crooning country and made a good fist of it. His debut album Fresh Air Don't Pay The Bills has even been nominated for a Gold Guitar at the New Zealand Country Music Awards.
The title track is one of the best songs penned in Oz, simple as that.
Greg now has a new album out, which he paid for himself, called Something A Little Stronger
Greg writes himself, co-writes with his Clermont friend, Phil Hodgkinson and sings material from his mate in the US, Paul Hotchkiss.-Phil Moore
The song playing now is Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down, from his new Album Something A Little Stronger.
