Dieseline Cowboys

I'm a dieseline cowboy ridin' on a high,
Drivin' this old eighteen wheeler
Out towards the western sky.
I've got four hundred horses
Pulling up this load.
Four hundred horses saddled up,
Saddled up, running down the road.

I'm the sort of guy who likes to move around.
I've seen a lotof heartbreak country
And a lot of one-horse towns.
I've only one regret is that my social life
Is spent talking on the UHF,
UHF both day and night.

Dieseline boys is blood.
Horsepower is what I love.
Driving these big rigs sure is fun.
I fire up the horses and let them run.

And when the ladies ask me if I like to dance,
I tell them that I surely do if only I had half a chance.
But the only footwork I get in this old truck
Is when I hit the gas peddle,
Gas peddle and double the clutch.

Little Miss Rhythm and Blues

She likes my old Chevrolet 1955,
Drop top, Bellair,
Cruise amatic Drive.
She likes to ride around with the radio on.
She knows the words to every Honky Tonk song.

She's a keeper this time, she's in her prime.
She's got all the right parts.
Little Miss Rhytm and Blues, I love her Rock and Roll heart.

She's got that look in her eye, just like the devil may care.
No deposit, no return, buyer better beware.
She plays the radio loud, it makes her wnat to dance.
Yes, she can work the floor, makes sweet romance.

All of the following lyrics are from Greg's Something A Little Stronger album.

Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down

Tonight the bottle let me down
And let your memory come around
One true friend I thought I'd found
Tonight the bottle let me down.

Each night I leave the bar when it's over,
Not feeling any pain at closing time.
But tonight your memory left me sober,
I can't just seem to drink you off my mind.

I've always had a bottle I could turn to,
And letely I've been turning every day.
But the wine don't take effect like it used to,
And I'm hurtin' in the old familiar way.

The Party Ain't Over

I've got a mate who just turned 21.
So we thought we'd throw a party and show him some fun.
He'd led what you'd call a kind of sheltered life,
He never got into trouble, he kept away from strife.
We're gonna show him how it feels to be alive
But the party don't get started till the girls arrive.

The band's prebooked, we've got the beer on ice,
The cake and the candles sure look real nice.
We've got the tarp tied to a rosewood tree,
We've git the fairy lights hanging in the shrubbery.
We've been as busy as bee's in a hive,
But the pary don't start till the girls arrive.

Slim filled the punch with vodka and gin,
Aunt Mary's started to undress again.
Brad's in the corner doin' his rooster call,
And Barry's ain't feeling any pain at all.

Well the girls have arrived and we're starting to dance,
The birthday boy's wandering round in a trance.
The neighbours ain't complaining cause they're all here.
The band's fired up, kickin' in top gear,
Everybody startin' to jump and jive
The party really started when the girls arrived.

The sun's comin' up and nobody's gone.
There's lots of swags rolled out on the lawn.
The boys are gettin' rowdy and startin' to unwind,
The girls are sayin' things that ain't real kind.
I don't know how we're gonna survive
Cause the pary's really rockin' now the girls arrived.

The song currently playing is Tropical Depression from Something A Little Stronger
