My first sale, and when I finish a work and like it.
My Comments
Drawing is in the blood and an obsession when I get the
time. I love fantasy art,children's book illustration, doodles that
arrive from the subconscious,and simplicity of line and design rather
than complexity. If you had to draw a cat in five lines, how would you
simply capture its catness and what would it look like? Good line design
and layout is needed for everything art from pottery to stained glass to
tapestry. So drawing and good layout design is the basic for me, and I
am still learning. I am only just moving into colour after 20 years
black and white.
In others' art, I love Australian landscape done well, and vivid use of
colour to evoke mood.
