The group meets on a weekly basis from the end of January to the end of November. The Walter Reid Cultural Centre is the home of Central Queensland Contemporary Artists. Our meeting room/studio is found on the 2nd floor. The Walter Reid Building is situated on the corner of East and Derby Streets at the bottom end of the mall. All members supply their own art materials such as paint, paper, canvas, brushes, pencils, easel, etc. Tables are provided to work on and a storage room is available. Day sessions include morning tea at a nominal extra cost. Field trips are usually organised to coincide with these sessions. Workshops and exhibitions or work on community projects are done during these times or at other times organised by the members. Evening meetings are held once a month for interested members who are unable to get to daytime meetings or prefer to get together at night. The 2 hour sessions allow time for art and are usually followed by a social cup of coffee. Location Map![]() Parking is available in the Riverbank car parks. Parking in East or Derby streets, near the Walter Reid Cultural Centre, is time limited during the day. |
