One-act opera. The score exists in two forms: 1. For voice with piano accompaniment.
2. For voice with chamber orchestra (string and wind quartet, trumpet, horn, piano, percussion). Libretto: David Cox.

The opera was commissioned by the Queensland Opera Company who toured the work throughout Queensland schools in 1973 and 1974. The work was performed by members of the Queensland Opera Company who were accompanied by the Queensland Youth Orchestra.

Marco Polo (1976)   30min.
A scaled down version of the opera. Marco Polo is designed for use in the

(ii) An Excuse for not Returning the Visit of a Friend, Mei Yao Ch'en (1002-1060); (iii) Morning, Chu Shu Chen (c. 1200);
(iv) Instrumental Interlude; (v)Moon, Flowers, Man, Su Tung P'o (1036-1 101);
Scored for soprano voice, clarinet, cello, piano.

A Garland for St. Francis  (2003)   18mins.
Cycle of eight songs for voice and piano with addition of an instrumental meditation.  This work has also been arranged for voice and instrumental ensemble of flute, Bflat clarinet, vibraphone, and string quartet.  The texts were inspired by seminal points in the life of St. Francis.
