Welcome to the Specialty Easter Edition 2001, covering the 3 major shows we have every year for Italian Greyhounds in Sydney.

This year we also had a Match Show after our regular Specialty.

This year also adds another spot in the limelight for Berizza since we have now won an amazing record of 7 Specialty BEST IN SHOWS and One RUNNER UP TO BEST IN SHOW in last 9 Specialties attended since 1992.

We are very proud of our consistency at Specialty Shows ,see results from early years in Specialties. 1993/1994 CH Wondoan Wravishing took back to back BIS, then 1995 CH Despite ThWhite Basil was BIS joined by his sister CH Phantom Kisses taking the honors in 1996.. Not showing in 1997, we came back 1998 to win with CH Blaze O Power, Basil daughter out of Wravishing, then 1999 Basil Grand daughter Sun Moon NStars was BIS, in year 2000 his son Hugo was RU BIS and then in 2001 Hugo went one step better taking Best In Show. Basil has certainly been a great influence in our breeding plan...

SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW

Judge for IG's and Group was Mrs Moa Persson, Sweden. From 21 entries, GR CH Berizza Hugo Boss was BEST OF BREED and CH Milano Autumn Glory (owned by us) was Bitch CC and RUBest of Breed. CH Berizza In Your Dreams was Res Bitch CC(owned by Sandra Gladwin-Stride and Michael Reeve) from Junior Class.

BEST IN SHOW was GR CH Berizza Hugo Boss, his son Berizza Kiss ThGround taking CHAMPION PUPPY IN SHOW (owned by Mrs Jan Franks), his daughter Berizza Kissed ByA Rose OPPOSITE MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW. Res CC bitch was CH Berizza In Your Dreams for Sandy and Mike Reeve

Hugo also won BEST SIRE & PROGENY Class, we have only attended this class twice in our Specialty career winning it both times, first appearance won by his father Basil.

Judge Mrs Fran Adams from UK, entry around 50 mark. Held after official Specialty.

Unfortunately the photo shoot was rather unsuccessful for this show due to very late finish and cool evening, and the fact all IGs had a very long day all up and just wanted to go home!! Like us humans too...

We also won BEST BREEDER'S TEAM for the second year in row..

I was very excited with our results for the week and as a breeder for the thrill of winning all 4 shows with the same dog, under variety of judges. Best of all, Hugo is very promising as a young sire and a fabulous companion in between shows. I look forward to showing him for many more years yet, he just loves to be out there.
