Accessible from Borah Crossing to the south (11 kms) or from Borah
Reserve to the north. This area contains good remnants of Grassy White
Box Woodlands with a understorey of native shrubs such as Acacia
deanei and Acacia decora. These shrubs provide an important
habitat area for small birds such as Peaceful Doves and finches which have been observed in
abundance in this locality. Good bird watching (birding) spot.

These remnants of woodlands provide important habitat for some of the
woodland bird species. For example the Peaceful Doves, often seen in this
location are generally not observed in the cleared farming lands. It
appears that Peaceful Doves are dependant on these woodland areas for
their survival. These eucalyptus woodlands have diversity of
native Australian plants in their understorey and worthy of inspection. This
area is Travelling Stock Reserve and there are no facilities. Look
for Zebra Finch, Double-barred Finch,
Diamond Firetail Finch and Red-browed Finches.
