About the National Link
At a national level the National Link brings the Neighbourhood House movement together - across Australia.
Consultation, support and networking are fundamental to the vitality and strength of Neighbourhood and Community Houses. The inclusive philosophy that underpins the movement is formalised by various local, regional and state level organisations. The National Link at a national level represents almost 900 Community and Neighbourhood Houses/Centres. This is a total of some half a million people.
National Link is not publicly funded so it relies on contributions from state peak bodies to fund its activity. The core functioning revolves around the bi-monthly teleconferences amongst the seven State/Territories and the Public Officer. Shared information of experiences is often a stimulant to some states to try opportunities, or to others to affirm what they are already doing. Other business concerns the co-ordination of key national events.

National Logo
The National Logo is our symbol of connectedness. The National Logo stands as a link between people as they journey around Australia whether it be locally or interstate. The large signs on buildings or the small ones as badges are available through the Public Officer. Evidence shows that symbols speak volumes.

Natlink Logo
The Natlink Logo of the Neighbourhood House movement is a sign that they are in contact with someone who shares the same philosophical principles. The symbol indicates that they have come to a place where they will be welcomed, and encouraged to share the support offered by that network.
