Reading and Movement:

Line 1: Hands together in front of your chest; stretch arms out to welcome the spring; immediately bring both arms back to their original positions;
Line 2: Cup both hands, keeping the thumbs together at all times, "open" out the other eight fingers, to resemble a flower "opening its petals", remember to keep your eyes on the 'flower' at all time, as though you are actually watching a flower opening its petals;
Line 3: Now, cross your thumbs, flicker the other eight fingers to simulate flying movement of the butterflies;
Line 4: "fly" towards the right, that is, gradually move your arms to your right.

** This is suitable for children in Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 beginners.
Ask for volunteers to perform this, until each child has a turn at this reading exercise.
Follow up: teach right, left, high, low to vary the direction of 'flight', but only after your student have mastered the above.
