Learning Chinese For Tomorrow
Multimedia teaching materials & online classrooms are things we all like talking about. Yet how much do we really know about such things?

Zhou Tong, who teaches Chinese
at Melbourne Grammar School, is
one who knows a lot about them. He has been working to produce a multimedia teaching package for use in both government & private schools for over a year.

His teaching package employs the STPAA method. It is made up of 42 learning levels, enabling students to advance step by step, building up their language skills as they go.
The package has a character bank which contains all 450 characters set down in the VCE list.

Each aspect of a Chinese character is systemically taught - stroke order plus its full and simplified form, pronunciation and the Pinyin equivalent, examples of its use in a sentence and so on.

The course features interactive, online exercises and can be used on a school's Intranet facilities.
