A short bit a history about AGM the" Melbourne Glass Bottle Works"was established in 1872 then amalgamated with six other glass companies to form the "Australian Glass Manufacturing Company Limited"(AGM) in about 1915/16 which made the company a major entity.
In 1922" Australian Glass Manufacturers' (AGM) amalgamated with the "Zetland Glass Bottle Works" and again changed its name in 1939 to" Australian Consolidated Industries" (A.C.I.)
The company by this time had glass works in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and New Zealand. They still used the AGM marks on their bottles despite the name changes.
