It was 1987 when Dave's secretary offered us a Boxer Puppy, we must admit that we had never even seen a Boxer, so we dutifully set off to see a Dog Show and check out the Boxer Breed.

We were both impressed by what we saw, therein sealing the deal, that was how Tyson (Ch.Penzberg Winter Knight - head shot top left on our homepage) came into our lives leading us into the Show scene.
For novices David and Faye did extremely well, exhibiting Tyson and notching up 1,545 Challenge points, including Best in Shows, numerous Groups and Challenges at both Specialty, Royal Shows and All Breed Shows. Tyson was retired after winning a triumphant Best of Breed at the prestigious Melbourne Royal, in 1992 at the age of 5.1/2 years.
During this time we had also purchased a mate for Tyson from the Erosdom Kennels, Tasmania, our darling Bo (Ch.Erosdon Bo Peep), who was to become our foundation bitch.   The names of these two remarkable dogs form the name of our prefix, thus Tyeanbo Boxers came to be.

We exhibited very successfully, but due to Dave transferring with his job, we lived in Sydney for the next 6 years. It was in Sydney that we mated these two wonderful Boxers, Tyson and Bo, producing our first litter of 7 puppies of which 4 became Aust.Champions and amassed approximately 2,800 Challenge points between them. During our stay in New South Wales we went on to win many awards and became one of the leading Kennels, winning many Best in Shows.

Tyson and Bo's son Creed ,Ch.Tyeanbo Nights Choice, was twice Top Boxer in 1993 and 1994 and their daughter Lucy, Ch Tyeanbo Knight Petite, finished on top of the Boxer Bitch NSW pointscore in 1992. These two were never out of the winners ring , together with their litter sister Kale Ch. Tyeanbo Knight n Gale and brother, Turbo Ch. Tyeanbo Knight Crusader (owned and exhibited by Miss. A. Keevers)they made quite a name for Tyeanbo and won us much acclaim, especially considering it was our first litter.

A record we are very proud of, but more importantly proud of these wonderful Boxers, who shared our lives and homes for many years.

We then mated Bo to Am.Ch. Merrilanes Golden Gloves (Imp.USA) from this union and a litter of two we kept "DARCY" Grand Champion Tyeanbo Gold'n'Bold.
Together with Creed ,Lucy, Kale and Darcy we continued to win many Best in Shows in New South Wales. We did not breed again for over two years.

In 1995 we finally settled back in our home town of Melbourne, on 20 acres, where our lovely Boxers have the run of the property, with a log fire in their kennels in the winter and out door facilities under the gum trees for the summer.

It was here Faye retired from exhibiting and became the chief kennel maid, looking after all the Boxers with great care and devotion. Her curiosity in wanting to know more about our Boxers ancestors became the beginning of a quest that took nearly 5 years of research and resulted in the Book - The History of Boxers in Victoria 1949-2004, a feat Faye is very proud of. Faye donated her final book to the Boxer Association of Victoria Inc Purchase this Book

Faye is currently applying for her Group 6 Utility Dog Licence. and is a committee member, the Publicity Officer and newsheet editor for the Boxer Club of Victoria's Boxer Bulletin. She was also the instigator and set up the Vicboxer website another of her proud achievements.

In 1996 we were approached by Gerald Munro, stating he wished to purchase a Boxer puppy to commence showing.   As we do not breed very often we advised Gerald if he would like to wait we may have one in twelve months.  It was 18 months later that Gerald purchased Sophie (Ch. Tyeanbo Miss Gold n girl ADX.JDX.E.T.) from us. Since then Gerald has become a good friend, sharing the exhibiting of all our Show team with David, eventually becoming a partner in the Tyeanbo Prefix
Gerald also took a keen interest in the Performance events and thus made up our first Agility titled Boxer with his devoted "Sophie" and then proceeded to attain her Jumping title together with passing her Endurance Test.

His love of all animals showed when he was employed for 10 years, as a veteriny assistant at one of Melbournes leading equestrian hospitals.

Gerald had been involved with the equestrian scene for many years, both as a competitor and is an accomplished Equestrian Judge. Having completed many prestigious judging appointments thru out Australia including the Hobart Royal Show and the prestigious "National Horse of the Year".

Sophie was also the star together with Mary Tyler Moore in the movie "A Most Deadly Family" which can be seen on Foxtel Gerald is curently making application for his Group 6 (Utility Group) Judges Licence. Gerald and his partner have just moved into a beautiful property at Clyde, with ample room for their love of dogs and horses.
