Charges for IN HOSPITAL FEES: Patients with GapCover Private Health Insurance will have their account paid directly by the Health Fund and the patient will have no additional costs in relation to Dr Phillip’s medical fees. All other patients including health care card holders will be billed at the same rate as the MBF Schedule Fee provided the account is paid in 28 days. Once Dr Phillips has recommended a particular operation, you may ask the receptionist for further information (or E-mail) for further advice regarding specific costs.
Charges for Office Consultations: Pensioners and health care card holders will be charged Medicare rebate only, provided the account is paid within 28 days. Patients not holding the above cards will be charged approximately half way between the Medicare Schedule Fee and the AMA recommended fee. You can claim 75% of the Medicare Schedule Fee from Medicare but nothing from your Private Health Fund. You may E-mail for specific costs if you wish.
