Must do's for Daylesford.  Number one go to the Daylesford Lake and feed the ducks and swans (buy some bread first of course).  This beautiful man made lake is full even during the worst drought.  You can walk around it - it takes around 40 minutes at a casual stroll, or seat on a seat and chill out, try the mineral water from a pump or have a coffee at the Boathouse restaurant.  If you are feeling energetic take out a paddle boat but be warned leave your mobile phone in the car.

Daylesford is a fascinating town, ever growing, ever changing.  I have been visiting Daylesford since around 1994 and it has changed remarkably - not all for the better.  13 years ago Daylesford was a busy town but a lot less sophisticated mostly aimed at the bed and breakfast market and the new age philosophy market.
