Øptimå Futurå
I have been composing as Øptimå Futurå for about 13 years, from when I got my first synth in 1987, right through my music degree, and now when I still manage to find a few free hours to explore my toys that have barely been used since their purchase.
My release list is barren:
Øptimå Futurå - "Bis Jetzt...usw" CD 1998 (Has some remastered songs now)
Øptimå Futurå - "Game Over" Hybrid CD 1999 (Audio & Mac/PC mp3 partitions)
UPCOMING - "Panzergrenadier Memoirs" CD 2004
Downloadable songs from these discs (and more) can be found at:
www.mp3.com/optimafutura (now dead?)
http://www.mp3.com.au/optimafutura
http://www.downloadmusic.com.au/optimafutura (also dead?)
and my live gig list is more barren:
3/6/98 Empress Hotel (Fitzroy North - Melbourne) supporting Orac (good buddies of mine)
But my equipment list is better:
Mac G3 266 running Cubase 4.1, ReBirth 2.01, Emagic SoundDiver, DX Editor, 2x Opcode Translator II MIDI interfaces
Roland Jupiter 6 - Beasty Analog Synth which I really should provide pix and downloadable soundz of
Roland JX8P - Weedy Digitalish-Analog Synth, but can produce good soundz usually, with the programmer PG800
Roland SH101 - killer Analog GREY monosynth
Roland TR606 Drum Machine - useful little analog drumz, and looks like a 303!!!!!!
Roland SBX80 Sync Box - indespensible little unit that will tie up the rest of your little boxes to something more stable (i.e. Cubase)
Roland U220 Sample Player
Yamaha DX7-2FD Digital FM Synth - my third DX7, and this one ain't for sale
Yamaha A4000 Digital Sampler - my first sampler, after all this time. Still don't know how to use it!
Ensoniq ESQ-M Hybrid Analog/Digital Synth Module - incapable of producing a dud sound, and I have tried!
Novation BassStation Rack - Analog-Modelled Monophonic Synth, which I reckon I could use in every song for ever...
Novation DrumStation - Analog-Modelled Drum Sound Source modelled on Roland TR808 & TR909
Zoom 1204 FX
Behringer Composer Compressor
Behringer Modulizer FX
Behringer 2642 Desk
and a ratty Rockman distortion unit that is definitely for sale!
I have copies of most of these manuals for sale. See the Music Manuals page...
Dazz with Roland analog beasties! (TB303 & SH101)
