The Red Centre Dash 

After setting his first Australian flying speed record, the Kangaroo Island Dash, pilot Darren Cutts attempted a world flying speed record from Adelaide, South Australia, to Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This record flight almost turned into tragedy when his high performance single engine aircraft experienced an engine failure in the middle of a harsh Australian desert.
