Jacarouge and Ragajac Ragdoll Kittens and Retiring Breeders
last updated: 22 March, 2000
We operate our cattery under two prefixes, Ragajac and Jacarouge.
This is to make things easier for our clients in identifying which Ragdolls are from the traditional Ragdoll lines and which Ragdolls are the result of our outcross program, see Jacarouge Red Ragdolls
All Kittens born under the prefix of Jacarouge are the prodigy of this program. The colours available are Flame, Cream, Blue Cream Tortie, Seal Red Tortie, Blue, Seal in point mitted and bicolour pattern.
The cost of the Jacarouge kittens varies depending on generation number . We are selling third generation kittens for $450.00. This price includes desexing, microchipping with a lifetime registration, pedigree papers from Waratah State Cat Alliance, Vaccination for Feline Flu and Feline Enteritis at six weeks and twelve weeks and Feline Leukemia at 12 weeks, vet checked, five year written health guarantee, wormed, flea treated and fully groomed prior to leaving us.
We will be expecting forth generation Jacarouge kittens towards the end of this year and we will price them closer to the time. At that time we plan to select the best Flame point Stud and two of the Best Flame point females to bred with. All prodigy will be sold at normal Ragdoll prices at this point.
Enter RAGAJAC!
...A Ragajac
baby, four week old blue point, cute eh?
Ragajac Ragdoll kittens are kittens produced from our traditional Ragdoll lines. We are very fortunate to own some magnificent Ragdolls from the classic lines here in Australia.
We only breed the colours Blue and Seal in mitted, point and bicolour coat patterns. We breed for the classic sweet look rather than the typier look. We love the big booffy head and full cheeks rather than the harder angular look being developed. ( both are perfectly acceptable, in fact the typier looking Ragdoll does extremely well on the bench, it is a matter of what you like the look of and keeping to the standard in that quest).
Ragajac Pet Kittens are sold for $650.00. This includes all of the services listed above for Jacarouge kittens.
If you are thinking about showing your kitten please let us know so we can help you to select a kitten that is show worthy. We are very keen to help you show if you live in the Sydney area and will help you to do this by offering advise about your kitten's first show groom, helping you to fill in forms and lend you equipment for the first show. We are at all Waratah's shows, so we are usually able to answer questions or send you in the right direction. Think about it, it is a lot of fun and Waratah State Cat Alliance Inc. is committed to helping new exhibitors launch into the wonderful hobby of cat showing in a friendly way.
Retiring Breeders.
From time to time we have breeders we wish to retire. They range in price from $100.00 to $300.00 and this includes all the services listed for kittens. If you are interested in providing a home for a retired breeder, please give us a call. As you can understand, we want these cats to have the very best retirement available and prefer to home these cats in single cat households in order for them to get all the attention that they so rightfully deserve or send them with one of their kittens, afterall, they have done their bit! ( If Queens are rehomed with a kitten, we only charge for the kitten). All these cats are offered as desexed pets only.
.....Jacarouge Sabrina of Ragajac needs a loving home.
Postscript February 2000. Sabrina is now owned by Jennifer Rogers who shows her
with Waratah State Cat Alliance. Sabrina impressed us all by winning 3rd place
in the Companion Cat Of The Year section with Waratah
State Cat Alliance. 1999.
....
Jacarouge Tabitha and Ragvagg Casper.
NOTE 23.3.2000. Casper and Tabitha are considering a new home with a lovely couple and are unavailable for further inquiries at this stage.
These two are father and daughter. Tabitha was born on 10th November 1998 and is registered as a generation one ragdoll tortie mitted and Casper was born on the 24th August 1995 and is registered as a ragdoll seal mitted. These two must go together as they are inseparable and would fret. They are quiet gentle souls requiring a home with a gentle couple or single person. They are very happy to curl up on a bed or in front of the fire and prefer the quieter life. Tabitha and Casper cost $200.00 for both and this includes all services. They will be ready for their new home at the end of April 2000.
To conclude, If you have landed on our page but really want a Birman or a Siamese or other breed of cat, don't despair! Follow this link to WSCA site and check out the breeders directory and have a look at the other cats bred by Waratah members.
