While I was overseas, Shahil was handed in to an animal welfare group at the age of 10. She was 'rescued' by Saluki people in Brisbane and placed in a loving retirement home.

Shahil became a show champion and finished her field title within 2 weeks of each other.  On the field, Shahil took off the "Hope Island Cup" and 3 Best in Fields in her titling season. 

Shahil was never bred from.
