PRESS-KITS:

Today, when a movie is released the Studio’s

produce a Press-Kit for marketing - publicity

and promotion, which is handed to the key

Radio, Newspaper and Television outlets.

Most Press-Kits consist of a beautiful folder

with poster art and studio identification on

the cover - in full colour. Inside the folder you

are supplied Cast & Crew biographies and

information - also - production notes and

information on the behind-the-scenes making

You also receive anywhere from

three to twenty five [depending on the promotion

& marketing budget] 10" x 8" photographs -

Some Press-Kits are quite ingenious - the

press kit for the Tom Cruise blockbuster

case with a tape recorded message and mug

shots of the cast. Naturally, this particular

kit is no longer available and quite an

expensive collectors item.
