Follydown Arabians moved to the Hunter Valley in 1994 and returned to the breeding of pure bred arabians. We breed both show and endurance horses. Jennie's family were involved in breeding pure and part bred arabians from the early 50's in England. 'I am one of the lucky people to have visited Crabbet Park and viewed the parade of stallions'.

Our aim is to breed horses that have good confirmation, movement, looks and most important temperament. We believe all our horses should be saddle broken but have pleasure in showing some of our young stock in halter classes. Some of our horses are 'bred in the purple' for endurance. We breed for the joy of owning arabians.

We have an interesting collection of mares. The old Crabbet lines are well represented, we are particularly fond of the Wellworth horses bred by the late Mrs Tucker. One of these mares produced a beautiful stallion sired by Rasham, these mares have the most amazing movement. Polish, Egyptian, German and obviously Gainey lines are all to be found in our mare paddocks.

We stand the stallions, Follydown Boysan & the pure Crabbet Sarafire son Arfaja Sarif. Boysan's first foal is Follydown Bint Haalim, she is our pride & joy, a very high % Crabbet filly who is now being shown. There are 3 foals by Boysan this season and he is stamping his mark on them all. Two are pictured left Aladdin, Anbar and Rishahl our pur Crabbet colt examining Daniel .

Tanderra Kadu our foundation stallion has been sold to a top endurance breeding programme in New Zealand, Vigar stud. We are retaining some lovely daughters to breed on to our younger stallions. Our last Kadu foal is on the ground, a filly Bint Kadu. Kadu has been an exceptional show horse and his progeny both pure, anglo and warmblood cross are following in their father's hoof prints both at halter and under saddle particularly now in endurance with several being exported.

We also take the opportunity to use some of the exceptional stallions that are available in Australia. We are fortunate enough to have had four of the last foal crop of Gai General (USA)(dec). We also have a beautiful mare by Prince Fa Moniet (dec).

Our other 'Folly' is the breeding of Jack Russell 'terrorists'.
