Hay's museums are vibrant, creative places where the people of Hay care for and communicate their rich and diverse heritage, nourishing their community culturally, socially, economically and imaginatively.

Hay has five museums, one for every 715 locals.
Together, they tell the stories of our town and its people.
Dedicated teams of local museum workers have created Hay's museums. More than 80 people volunteer regularly, and our museums employ 20 people.
Together, they care for more than 17,000 objects.
Hay's museums champion a collaborative approach, working with each other to ensure our museums inspire visitors and locals alike.
Together, we're striving towards excellence and innovation in community museums.
