The
group was formed by a small number of women in 1978. Membership
in 2005
stands at over 80 and includes men and women from several age groups.
While spinning was the initial interest the organisation now also
includes smaller groups of weavers, and felters.
The
group is affiliated with the Queensland S.W.& D. Group in Brisbane
