Chamber Description

We have a state of the art single-lock multiplace hyperbaric facility. The room is 2.13 metres wide, by 2.13 metres tall, by 3.01 metres long. There are eight chairs and a wide walk-in door. The rectangular design was developed in Australia and a big improvement on the cylindrical chambers of old. It can be pressurised to an equivalent pressure of 20 metres (3 ATA), but the majority of treatments are at 14 metres.

The usual treatment schedule is for two hours per day, five days per week. A nurse is present to look after you during treatment. You can watch TV, listen to music, or read a book.

Location

The facility is located at Vaucluse Hospital on Moreland Road in Brunswick, Victoria. It is conveniently located 10 minutes north of Melbourne central.
Just look for the big blue sign.
