Congratulations to some of the Burmese winners at cat shows.

Keeza Sydney Siren - lilac tortoiseshell Burmese female kitten
Breeder: Pamela Miller - at just 6 months old - read about her sensational successes at the European Cat Shows. Here she is with  some of the trophies she won:

I am honoured to have been granted an opportunity to import such an exceptional cat as Sydney undoubtedly is and thus confirm her amazing qualities in Europe.

Since the first moment she entered my life I have known she is something that I would not find easily in Europe and my assumptions started fulfilling two weeks later. We took part in the first exhibition together where everyone stood breathless in front of her. Her beauty is accompanied by an absolutely delicate and nice character and the evaluators admired her exterior and, primarily, the beautifully deep colour of her eyes which is not a dominant point of Burma cats in Europe. Shortly after the beginning of the exhibition we were awaited by an judging accompanied by many superlatives and crowned with a nomination to the Best in Show by Mrs. Anciau. Later, in comparison with all other kittens in the category, Sydney was exhibited by the steward to all the juniors and, subsequently, voted the Best in Show Kitten in the 3 - 6 months category. My joy was indescribable and the dream of achieving the Junior Winner (JW) title with this exceptional cat was conceived in my head.

However, I could not imagine then that Sydney would fulfil my wish so quickly. In two weeks of the first exhibition and victory we took part in an exhibition in Bohemia where we were judged by Mr. Louis Coste who did not spare any admiration and, following a very profound evaluation and comparison with other kittens, gave her a chance to fight on - he nominated her…. Sydney took the chance royally, exhibited herself absolutely perfectly and her amazing body dynamism coupled with her proud expression - Sydney became BIS for the second time!

Shortly afterwards there were another two exhibition which we left victoriously again and then there was only Vienna before us which, for me, constituted the entrance to the Junior Winner title. I was very nervous since the morning; I approached the judge roster with mixed feelings; competition was unusually big; there were many kittens and all of them were of unusually high quality… Mr. Eric Reijers judged us which made me very happy since it is just him who has to be given credit for the fact that Sydney is here in Europe and with me. After a profound evaluation and comparison of Sydney with other kittens in the circle, he nominated Sydney and we were just a tiny bit away from our dream. The nervousness became stronger with the hours passing and in the evening, the election of the best cats in the exhibition started. How did it all end up?

AUS* Keeza Sydney Siren, JW!!!!

Sydney managed to do something exceptional; she reached the title in just one month which is nothing easy for cats in category III (shorthairs). The more it underlines the qualities of the unique cat though, I think!

Sydney, thank you for being!

Owner Venesa Almgren writes: "At the All Breeds Desexed Cat Show 2003 my two Burmese (Currellen Wild Rose (left) and Hindmarsh Snow Lillie) in ring two won 1st and 2nd Top 5 Spay Cats at the show. Plus the memorial award of Doris Burnage. Both cats are owned by me and both cats have the same father therefore they are half sisters. I believe it was a great achievement for such young cats. At the time CW Rose was 9.5 months and HS Lillie was 17.5 months"

If your Burmese has won at a show and you would like a photo displayed on this page, email the photo and details to the webmaster so they can be included.
