Lake Indoon (nearby)
16 km from the B & B is Lake Indoon, a large freshwater lake where you can enjoy water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, sailing, windsurfing ... and the list goes on. Lake Indoon is a great spot for a picnic or a barbecue (with gas BBQs provided). You can sit and enjoy your lunch under the new gazebo overlooking the lake, or take a stroll and investigate the Mid West's wildflowers and wildlife.
35 km to Leeman ... 45 km to Green Head
Leeman is a coastal fishing town which is home to the famous Rock Lobster and a great spot for fishing, swimming, windsurfing, diving and snorkelling.
Green Head is only 10 km from Leeman. Why not take a Sea Lion Charter at Green Head and dive with sea lions, discover the beauty of the Turquoise Coast, or enjoy a fishing charter and catch some dhufish or bald chin groper. Green Head is also a fantastic spot for swimming, windsurfing, snorkelling, surfing, or just taking a relaxing walk on the white sandy beaches at Dynamite Bay.
Jurien Bay
You can go on to discover Jurien Bay. Jurien is a fast-growing seaside town with pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches and is also renowned for its reef fishing, lobster and abalone. You can visit the Rock Lobster factory or take a fishing charter around the islands. Enjoy lunch at one of Jurien Bay's cafes, restaurants or hotels, then finish off the day with a bit of shopping.
Cervantes
Stop in Cervantes and visit the Pinnacles Desert, found at Namburg National Park. The Pinnacles are limestone pillars formed over thousands of years - a must-see.
Stockyard Gully National Park
Venture out to Stockyard Gully National Park, a reserve of 1500 ha protecting unique flora and fauna. A feature of the park is the 300 metre long Stockyard Gully tunnel, which follows a winding underground creek bed. Picnic areas are available.
Mount Lesueur National Park
Mt Lesueur National Park is ranked as one of the most important areas of flora conservation in southern Western Australia, its diversity being of international significance. Some of the wildflowers include Giant Zamia, Geraldton Wax, Parrot Bush, Native Wisteria and Coastal Daisy Bush.

In fact the Eneabba - Carnamah region has the most wildflowers per square metre in Western Australia - a must-see on your travels. Discover the Batavia Wildflower Trail. Just some of the wildflowers you will see on your travels are the popular Green Kangaroo Paw, Banksias, Orange and Yellow Wattle. Wildlife abounds and you will see a large variety of birds, as well as kangaroos, emus, wild horses, lizards, foxes and rabbits - and much more. |
