The Morris and Leyland Marina

Leyland Australia produced the Morris (which it later named the Leyland) Marina in both six and four cylinder forms.

Leyland Marina The six had a cubic capacity of 2623cc as against the four’s 1750 cc.  Leyland also planned using a V6 engine based on the V8 used in the P76.

The Australian cars used the E-Series engine, rather than the B-Series of the UK built Marinas.  In Australia, the E-Series was used not only in a transverse front wheel drive layout, but also in longitudinal rear wheel drive form, in the Leyland Marina and in the P76 (six-cylinder) saloon.
