An Original Painting by Janet Flinn When Eastern Rosellas nibble quietly on the grass the black, green and yellow of their backs makes a very effective camouflage, but when they fly their brilliant colours are breath-taking.When flying the contact call of these beautiful parrots is a high bell-like note, but when gathered in small family groups amongst the foliage, they chatter very quietly amongst themselves. Found in the south-eastern parts of Australia in lightly wooded areas.
