" This fierce art-rocker from
Australia released her long awaited
second album after settling numerous contractual disputes. While she has yet
to make a dent on the American music scene, her debut "Sleeping With The
Lion" made a big impression on me, and served notice that there was indeed
more going on Down Under than Midnight Oil and INXS. This album is mostly
more mellow but still moving. Margot's command of rock and pop forms is
impressive. She wades into dysfunctional relationships as if that's all she's
ever known, embracing them while railing against them. This gets scary
sometimes, as it is meant to, but some songs transcend her emotional
maelstrom and allow the listener to achieve a personal catharsis."
