This is a photo of the KR2 prior to purchase.
I purchased this KR2 in September 2003, built to plans (so I'm told).
Here is my KR2 ready to fly, finally. I'll paint the cowling during our monsoon season, next couple of months. Engine is a Jabiru 4 cylinder 2200cc 4 stroke engine, 85 HP at 3300 rpm. (complete engine, exhaust and oil 60 Kg). Propeller is made by Richard Sweetapple in Brisbane Australia 56" x 56". Empty weight is 252.15 Kg. (includes GRS Ballistic Chute) Registered as an Ultralight under RAA (Recreational Aviation Australia) in Australia 19-3873 Since purchasing my KR2 I have: - Replaced the Hirth F30U, 2 stroke engine with a Jabiru engine. - Added a ballistic chute from http://www.mcp.com.au/xair/online/category17_1.htm . (Contact X-Air Australia for different models) - Replaced the retractable undercarriage with Jabiru undercarriage. - Rebuilt the instrument panel. - Checked the aircraft over from tip to tail. - Done an accurate weights and balances. - Added a Xcom 760 radio, in my opinion, the best value for money in a radio, available from http://www.mcp.com.au/xcom760 . - Replaced the propellor with a Richard Sweetapple 56x56 wooden propellor. Richard can be contacted on +61 7 3245 2579 (in Australia). First Flight 28 December 2004, about time :-)
