The
Kutjungka hosts a variety of
ministries. Three Catholic schools and
the Youth Service are located in the parish.
All
seek to work side by side with local people to develop new ways to allow
the
Word
of God to work among people of the region, promoting justice, dignity and
reconciliation.
 |
There
are opportunities for employment of teachers and nurses. There are
opportunities for volunteers to
assist in this process by sharing of practical skills and wisdom in a
two-way exchange of listening and learning. Openness to the Catholic
Faith and the pastoral aims of the parish are necessary. A
Commonwealth Police check is required for all applicants. |
Currently
there is need for
 |
A
volunteer to co-ordinate parish maintenance. He or she needs to have
basic maintenance skills and be prepared to work alongside local men
and women. Duties include the routine and emergency maintenance of
parish, school and health buildings, and parish grounds. Private
accommodation, food and stipend provided. |
 |
A
volunteer to assist supporting local youth leadership in the
Youth service is needed. The service is centred on the
Youth Centre in Balgo, and is coordinated by an active committee.
He or she will work with the committee to plan and supervise
activities from the centre |
