Suicide

If you, or someone you know, is thinking about or threatening suicide contact a mental health professional.

Don't wait - depression can be a killer.

If you don't know what to do or where to start:

  • Contact your family doctor for advice, or
  • Phone a suicide prevention or crisis care hot-line, such as Life Line (13 11 14 anywhere in Australia).

Sadly, feelings of depression, threats of suicide, and suicide attempts are more common among serious problem gamblers. This is why depression and suicidal thoughts, threats and actions must always be taken seriously and handled by professionals. If you, or someone you know, is having suicidal thoughts or threatening suicide - don't risk it - get help right away.
