CYCLONE DAMAGE

Each wet season we are in danger of being hit by one or more tropical cyclones.  During my tenure here we have experienced several.   Luckily the ones that have come close have been relatively weak and Alyangula has been only on the edge of the more severe ones.

The photograph below shows a very large gum tree uprooted by a cyclone.  It rests on the car port of a house.   The residents of the house were away at the time, but there was little damage other than some bent roofing.
