BUSH TRACK

Typical of many of Groote's tracks, this explains why most of the vehicles on the island have four wheel drive.  This was taken from the westerly shores of Bartalumba Bay and is well into the dry season, as can be seen from the colour of the vegetation.

Here we are stopped on the road, ready for a quiet afternoon tea.  During the hour we were there, no traffic needed to pass - normal on many of Groote's thoroughfares.
