Notes : Winnie lived in France before 1940, with the Heilbron family, looking after the children and then as their governess. She left when war broke out. The family kept in touch with her and provided some financial support. She was a teacher at Scaitcliffe Prep School (Eton) for 10 years and retired in1953.
